I need your help for our next sermon series, Breathe. I’m looking for stories that I may use in one of the sermons. I need people who became believers EVEN THOUGH…
1) you were already living a ‘good, moral life’; OR
2) you grew up believing that God was hard to please; OR
3) you had a difficult life and thought God wasn’t ‘fair’ to you.
Even if you’ve been a believer for a while, post your story in the comments. Thanks!
- Ken

I accepted Christ when I was 7 years old, but in my adolescent years I sat through many amazing testimonies where God had miraculously freed people from drugs, alcohol and immoral living in general. I remember vividly thinking after a particularly harrowing tale of how God had rescued a ‘real’ sinner, ‘Maybe I haven’t been bad enough to truly be saved.’ When I was much older I had to write out my own testimony for a Bible Study. Even without drugs, alcohol and a minimum of immoral living (aka College) I realized that my own experience of growing up in a Christian home and accepting Christ as my savior at an early age was just as much a miracle as the one who went through hell first.
Thanks, Kerry!
