I’m taking Spring Break off from the blog.  I’ll post again on Tuesday, April 13th.  But… you can feel free to post comments this week. Life’s still happening and God’s still moving, so post away!!!

Have a great week!

  1. The Hand of God
It never ceases to amaze me how the Hand of God reaches us in our daily walks of life. I have been “touched” by His hand through so many brothers and sisters at West Cobb but also at work.
I had a meeting with a customer that I was truly dreading. He likes to talk and most of the time I have to take the entire conversation, dissect it, see what he is saying he wants, and then produce what he is really asking for. A headache to say the least. However, this day, though he talked in the same circular conversation about work related things, we discovered that each of us are Christian’s… Well, the usual 1 to 2 hour relentless conversation turned out to be 1 ½ hr then a 1 hr lunch followed by another 45 minutes of prayer and fellowship.
Although I will always dread meeting this guy at the job-site, I will always find comfort in knowing I have found another brother to share, laugh, love and rejoice with.
So now when I meet with someone, dreading it or not, I have to wonder, who is God putting me in front of this time?

  2. I’m reading Psalm 73 wondering along with the writer why are things so hard sometimes. It’s easy to get stuck on the short view and miss the bigger picture. But the verse “Whom have I in heaven but You?…earth has nothing I desire…My flesh and heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” struck me. God is my strength and my portion. When life is passing out your lot, it’s easy to forget that your portion is God. God is not a tiny, insufficient alotment. He is more than we can imagine, and His Son is a Gift without compare. It’s a Monday, and a tiredness that dogs me constantly now is heavy on me, but I have a strength that is not my own.
