Summer Serve Opportunities
Mississippi Mission Trip - Completed
Be a part of a VBS as we partner with Diamondhead Baptist Church in Diamondhead, MS. We'll be leaving on June 26 - 30. The cost is approximately $150 - $200. This Church was devestated by hurricane Katrina and has rebuilt their facilities. They have asked us to partner with them in their VBS each morning. Adults & teens are needed to teach Bible stories, lead music, crafts, and sports activities. This would also be a great trip for families with elementary aged children.

Cobb Extension - Completed
The extension on Church Street in Marietta ministers to men and women with drug and alcohol addictions. Help is needed with the preperation and serving of the meal on July 24th and with the service that follows.

Blankets
Kids ROCK WCC'ers will be making fleece blankets during July for children at Scottish Rite. You can donate money to help defray the cost of supplies or show up to join in on the fun during Sunday's in July at the 10 & 11:15 am services.

MUST Ministries
Yum, Yum, Eat 'Em Up! Join us as we make snack lunches for children in the Marietta area. These will be distributed through the MUST Ministry in Marietta. We'll gather at West Cobb Church at 6:30 and prepare the lunches for distribution on June 15th & August 10th.

Street Reach
Meet us on the street on Thursdays at 6 pm to serve dinner and hang out with our homeless! You are welcome to bring acoustic guitars and jam, bags of candy to share, or a football to throw around!

Our homeless friends love baked goods. Simply gather a group to make cookies (they love peanut butter or chocolate chip), brownies, or cupcakes. We need 250 servings. These are needed for:

Operation Christmas Child
Pack a shoebox full of goodies for a child and watch the smiles appear! Pick up a label and load up your box with age appropriate and gender specific items. Include a check for $6.00 to handle shipping. You'll also be able to track your box and follow it to its destination! Boxes are due July 31st.

Soles 4 Souls
New or gently worn shoes will be collected throughout the month of July. Wrap your shoes together with a rubber band and bring $1 to cover shipping costs. Barefoot Sunday is July 31st and marks the last date for collection. Check out this exciting ministry at www.soles4souls.com.

Storehouse Ministries Food Drive
Food items will be collected through July 31st and taken to Noonday Baptist Association where they will be distributed through Cobb County.

Seven Bridges Outreach - Completed
Join us on July 9th and July 16th as we partner with Pastor 7 serving a sack lunch to the homeless living under the bridges in the Bluff area of Atlanta. Meet at noon in the parking lot of the KMart on Cleveland Avenue & I-75. Follow in your own vehicles to the Bluff area. 400 - 500 lunches will be given out. Finish at 4:30 pm sharing food and the gospel. Additional information can be found on their website at www.7bridgestorecovery.org.

Change for Change
Drop your change in the well (located at the entrance of the Preschool area). All of the money collected will go to drill and well for village in Burkina Faso. Our goal is $1,700 for a hand dug well (ugh!) and $7,000 for a machine dug well. Folding money (checks) can be made out to WCC with Burkina Faso in the memo line.
