The Awakening

West Cobb Church is hosting The Awakening, a four-night experience for the entire family.

October 22-25

We’ll serve dinner, give away door prizes, have special guests, themed nights for children, worship and Guest Speaker Ken Freeman will deliver a powerful message nightly.

Here’s a glimpse of what’s planned for kids.

  • Sunday, Monday & Tuesday – Jumpies galore, including the popular Ice Palace and Dragon’s Fury. Western-themed carnival & lots of fun!
  • Wednesday – World–renowned Christian Illusionist Bryan Drake with a special message designed just for kids



The Awakening kicks off on Sunday, October 22 at 4pm with a Dodgeball Tournament at Lovinggood Middle School for 6th-12th grade students. Teams of 6 will compete in a double elimination match for a grand prize of $300 for each winning Middle School team (guys and girls divisions) and $600 for each winning High School team (guys and girls divisions). Register your team today for a chance to play and win. Competition starts at 4pm and we’ll have food and drinks for everyone. Families are invited to come, watch and cheer on the teams.


The service, including door prize drawings, worship and Ken Freeman’s message, will start at 6:30pm each night.

Dinner will be served from 5:45-6:30pm Monday through Wednesday. All guests eat for free! For WCC regular attenders, dinner is only $5 per adult and $3 per child.

The weekly menu is as follows: 

  • Sunday: Otters Chicken (at the Dodgeball Tournament) *Food will not be available at WCC.
  • Monday: Grilled Hamburgers, Corn on the Cobb, Chips & Cookie
  • Tuesday: Barbeque Pulled Pork, Mac & Cheese, Salad & Brownies
  • Wednesday: Grilled Chicken, Dressing, Green Beans, Roll & Cake
