We believe...

  • God is bigger, better, and closer than we can imagine.
  • The Bible is God's perfect guidebook for living.
  • Jesus is God showing Himself to us.
  • God's Holy Spirit lives in and works through all believers.
  • God is doing everything possible to establish an intimate relationship with us - except force it on us.
  • Jesus is the only way to establish this relationship with God.
  • Grace is the only way we can have this relationship with God.
  • Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship with God.
  • Nothing in creation "just happened." God made it all.
  • God allows evil to provide us with a choice. God can bring good - even out of evil events. God promises victory over evil to those who choose Him.
  • Heaven & Hell are real places. Death is a beginning, not an end.
  • The church should serve people like Jesus served people.
  • Jesus is coming again.

We Exist…

West Cobb Church exists to take a Real Savior to Real People. We are passionate about making an eternal difference in our community, nation, and world.

We Value…

  • People... opening our lives to everyone, even people different than us.
  • Heartfelt Worship... worshiping God because of His mercy and love.
  • Relevance... using culturally relevant methods to teach timeless, biblical truths.
  • Excellence... giving God our best in every situation.
  • Focus... doing more by doing less.
  • Unbelievers... serving as God's ambassadors - everyday to everyone, even people running from God.

    We Know…

We know that a diverse community like ours needs only one gospel, but a variety of styles to communicate that gospel (1 Corinthians 9:20-22). When our church family began in 1994, the area had many churches using methods developed in the 19th and 20th centuries.

God established our church to impact our community and world, with more progressive methods. You will see these differences in most areas of the church - from our worship style, to how we view success as a church; from our ministry design to the way we plan and use our buildings. God intends for WCC to be "new wine" for the people in our community who do not have a relationship with Him (Matthew 9:17).
