Women's League @ WCC

Our Mission
To encourage women to be in the Word and prayer daily to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our Core Values

  • The Word - we know we are living by this value when we apply Biblical truths in our daily living.
  • Prayer - we know we are living by this value when we acknowledge God and continually communicate with Him.
  • Identity - we know we are living by this value when we model the actions and attitudes of Christ in our lives.
  • Others - we know we are living by this value when we accept women and encourage them to be in the Word and prayer daily to develop their relationship with Jesus.

Picture of the future - women in love with Jesus worshiping Him.

What is the Women's League?

The Women's League is a Group Life ministry. Each group is made up of 8 to 12 women that meet weekly for 8 - 12 weeks per season (Fall and Winter/Spring) for Bible Study, prayer, accountability and fellowship. These groups are for women of all ages and stages of life. They are composed of both single and married women. They are interdenominational and international. In addition to studying together, participants of groups receive care-giving as appropriate and participate in community acts of compassion.

Coordinator - Ceci Osburn  (678) 429-6703

Upcoming Bible Studies

The Women's League Bible Studies for the Winter will begin the week of February 1st.  West Cobb will be hosting six Bible studies:

Stepping Up

This detailed study of Psalms 120-134 engages participants in unique opportunities for personal reflection and worship while exploring the background and writer of each psalm.  Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 psalms model how study participants can voice their own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us.

Starts:  Wednesday, February 1st, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Lasts 8 weeks

The Virtuous Woman

Does the woman in Proverbs 31 make you feel like a sluggard? For years, Christian women have struggled to understand what the Proverbs 31 woman was all about. Instead of encouragement or instruction, for most, this passage offered “more guilt than eating a one-pound bag of M&Ms.” Is this the ideal woman? Or is the Proverbs 31 woman an outdated fixture of the past?  This study will help you find the answers.

Starts: Wednesday, February 1st, 6:45 PM - 8:00 PM - Lasts 8 weeks

Location: West Cobb Church (1245 Villa Rica Road, Marietta)

Living Free

You will understand more fully the five benefits available to every believer, including how to find satisfaction in God and experiencing God’s peace.

James: Mercy Triumphs

James, Jesus’s own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple with this study of both the man and the book of James. Topics include joy, hardship, single-mindedness, dangers of the tongue, humility. This study introduces a new 5-tiered study approach which allows you to choose your level of involvement in the study.  Tier 1 (watching the video only) is a new option and there are now 3 additional options after Tier 2 (video and weekly homework) for those with the time to commit for additional study.
